What I was doing was…

Reading back the first draft of m’play and sifting through the feedback I’ve had to see where it’s at, where I want it to go in the next draft and so what I will need to work on. Read the play, took some notes, the most of the way through the feedback and took loads more notes, all now amassed in a sprawling spreadsheet. I was aware that there is a lot of info to digest and make sense of and that I don’t want to be reactive, so for each of the feedback points I formulated a question to myself which will help me identify what feel like important themes and remain open to possible solutions. When beginning I felt like I was lost in it and it didn’t make sense (which of course it doesn’t yet, that’s the job of writing it) and now it’s somewhat clearer. Next I need to finish reviewing the feedback and create a vision for what the 2nd draft is going to be about, to guide what are the most useful of these questions to answer and act upon.
