Hatty Jones is a writer and performer based in London, whose plays include ‘That Girl’ which is based on her experiences as a child actor. We talk about Hatty’s training as an actor and her journey to increasingly create the roles and opportunities she seeks as a performer, which has lead to her originating projects for theatre, web series and short films. We discuss writing and the practices that help her get a script written, the lessons Hatty has taken from being part of a writing group, the necessity of deadlines and rules to help get things done, and the advice she would give her younger self setting out to become a writer.
